Another win for our New Years Card 2020

Our Gietz New Years Card 2020 takes them all - another award! The card, created together with GRÄFE Atelier & Druckveredelung GmbH, received silver at the "Druck & Medien Awards 2020" in the category "Finisher of the year".

We are very proud of this years card, yet 2021 is just around the corner...

A connection to tradition, puristically interpreted

St. Gallen in Switzerland is not only the headquarters of GIETZ, the manufacturer of precision embossing machines, but is also famous for its textile craftsmanship - embroidery and lace.
As an expression of the connection with local tradition, the customer wanted an exclusive card with a lace motif in a striking blind embossing. The impressive feel and fineness of the textile motif on the plain white outside required extreme precision in the construction of the multi-stage embossing process. The only additional accent is provided by the finishing of the signatures in metallic gloss gold on the inside - a strong effect in contrast to the matt white paper.
Engineering and textile craftsmanship are united by the quest for clarity and precision, this is the message of the card motif - congenially interpreted by print finishing.
